How long does it take to set up our Lodge?

Most Lodges are ready in an afternoon. Setup is guided: enter your Lodge details, add or import your member list, assign officers and publish your first meeting.

Do we need someone technical in the Lodge?

No. Lodge Works is designed to be run by the Secretary and other officers. If you can use email and a spreadsheet, you can run Lodge Works.

Can we import our existing member list?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Member records can be imported from a spreadsheet, so you don’t have to retype the Lodge roll.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every plan starts with a free trial so you can set the Lodge up and test it with your officers before committing.

Can members sign themselves up?

Accepted Answer

No. Lodge Works is invitation only. Accounts are issued by your Lodge officers, so only your Brethren have access.

Can we control what each officer sees?

Yes. Access follows Lodge roles and offices. The Secretary, Treasurer and Dining Steward each see the administration relevant to their office.

What about members who don’t use technology?

Officers can act on a member’s behalf — booking their place, recording their menu choice and their payment — so nobody is left out.

Can guests attend without an account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A member generates a secure invitation link. The guest registers, pays for their ticket and chooses their menu on a simple public page — no account needed.

How are menu choices collected?

Menus are attached to the meeting or event by course. Members and guests choose while they register, and dietary requirements are captured at the same time.

Does it handle the table plan?

Yes. Attendees come from the bookings, and you can arrange the top table, round tables and long tables visually, or auto-seat and adjust.

Can we see totals for the caterer?

Yes. Covers, menu breakdowns and dietary notes are summarised for each event, ready to send to the caterer.

How are payments taken?

Members and guests pay by card at the point of booking. The payment is recorded against the booking, so the Treasurer can see what is paid and what is outstanding.

Where does the money go?

Event and dining payments are collected through the Lodge’s own payment account. Lodge Works records them; it doesn’t hold your Lodge funds.

How is our Lodge Works subscription billed?

Monthly or annually, by card. Your trial converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.

Can we cancel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cancel during the trial and you won’t be billed. After that you can cancel your subscription and stop future billing.

Is our Lodge data kept separate?

Yes. Each Lodge is a separate tenant. Members only ever see their own Lodge’s information.

Who can see member details?

Only your own Lodge members and officers, according to their role. Member details are never shared with other Lodges.

Is there a record of administrative changes?

Yes. Administrative activity is recorded in an audit trail, so officers can see what was changed and when.
